I suggest you ...

Enhance text tool with text wrapping, direct input, and resizable text boxes

Need text input directly on page instead of the pop out input box. Also need text wrapping for smaller sheet formats for those who type as well as write notes. I would gladly pay the fee for that but not the current input

And instead of having a popup, where you enter the text you can enter it in live preview.
This way we get the readability of computer text and the ease of use with drawing.
The text could also snap to grid lines.

I stead of only being able to create a single line of text the text box tool could be shaped to desired dimentions with formatting.

Being able to type straight onto the page.
Being able to align each line of words with the lines.

it's more appealing to just be able to write directly on the page without the pop up text box used currently.

Without text wrapping I'm forced to continue using S-note for certain things. Paid the $2.99 to unlock tools and this very basic function doesn't work. Makes this app go from being awesome to marginal. These comments go back 2 years. Are any squid developers paying attention?

Need text wrap! I paste in text from the clipboard, but then it runs off the page. Not worth the price unless this is fixed!

I wrote a long sentence as a note on my reading and instead of going to the next line it runs off the page. Can this be fixed so it goes into the next line so I can read it? And if not, please fix that as it's not worth $3 if I can't use it properly.

I can't agree more. so many times i need to use typed text but squid doesn't support much of it.

Trying to copy and paste any longer text into your typing feature is a nightmare. The typing feature definitely needs improvement. Other than that though... I LOVE THIS APP!!!

Sometimes the text box exceeds the page margins and become uneditable. Very important feature that needs to be inserted. We have it in xodo docs.

In-Line and text box typing without opening up an additional overlay, being able to scroll between pdf pages, zoom window for handwriting

The handwriting feature of Squid is brilliant, and s pen support is flawless, however there is still a time and a place for typed notes, and currently the text tool is woefully inadaduate. At the very least we need word wrapping for larger amounts of text, bold, underlined and italics and bullet points. I pay for Squid, and will continue to do so, but what is a very good note writing tool could be a GREAT note writing tool if we had better text input support! Please make it happen...

In notability for iPad, there are resizable textboxes which can be resized by selecting them with the text tool, even after creation. Grab handles appear on the textbox, and if you tap in the textbox, it allows you to edit the text without opening another overlay on top like it is currently implemented in squid, so that you can see how the text fits. Also, notability has in line typing anywhere in the document, by tapping near the left edge of the screen. It would be gret if you could add these two features, because I'm trying to use this app as a replacement for notability, which is only avaliable for ipad.

Please look into this as this is very crucial and for many a deciding factor of staying with Squid or not, cheers!

I just got the year subscription and am pretty excited to use it in my college classes but however I find it annoying to have to write the text in a box and not on the page itself. If that feature + different text fonts would be available on the Android app, it will be amazing! its a crucial feature that everyone can agree to.

Say we adjust the page to be size A4 and you reach the edge of the page. The app should automatically jump to the next line rather than progressing infinitely to the right (left in certain languages).
