Extend PDF whitespace margins
Extend the white-space margins of a PDF to allow for more notes
This would definitely be a big improvement and not difficult to implement. I have seen this on a similar note taking app on iOS and found the feature essential.
It does not have to be infinite, but i.e. a wide margin would already be a great start. For example when importing the pdf document Squid could allow to change the page dimensions to add a margin on the right/bottom or so.

Still no update on this?
This would be awesome! I'm having the same problem annotating lecture notes.
I'm a grad student and use Squid mainly for marking up PDFs: both research papers and lecture slides. When there is limited room on a page or notes/ideas are extensive then I run out of room - happens a lot! It would be great if each PDF page sat on an infinite background like the functionality of a typical notes page.
Please add this function!
I would like to exclusively use Squid, but as it stands, I have to use Onenote to mark-up my PDFs because I need margins to write in!

Posting in 2018 now.
Please add extra notetaking space (or leave that as an option) for inserted pdfs.
Import pdf in infinity size doing more easy to do notes

This will be an excellent option for studding and taking notes on a Pdf page contents, adding images, and other text to make it easy for us to collect more information about a subject, yes this option is really needed
I have the same issue. I think it'd be great if we could just stretch out the margins a bit. as in, add extra blank space around the edge as if we were shrinking a picture on a larger canvas.
I really want to make lots of notes in a PDF file but the space on the PDF page is just too small. Can we create a page in page in a PDF file. This page maybe will have a finite size but as long as we can add pages in the file it will work well. Or maybe we can add some side pages (not another page before or after the pdf page but at the same page at one side of the pdf) to the PDF file so that it appear kind of linking with the PDF.

I have recently started using this program, and it has proven to be one of, if not the best note applications that I have found. However, after only using it for about a week now, I have frequently wished that I could attach a a note screen to pages of pdf`s that am working on. I am a college student, and use Papyrus for my text book pdf files. It would be exponentially more productive if there were a way to attach note pages in a split screen, to the textbook pages. This would allow for taking lecture notes, while having my etext opened for reference, and attaching those note pages to the corresponding etext pages.
Make entire page/white space editable in imported pdf's for more note taking on same page without habing to add pages before or after.
Agreed, extra white space next to pdf to allow for more space when annotating. E.g the option could say "add 3 cm extra margin" and 3 cm of extra white space are added on the left and right, naturally 3 could be replaced by any number.
