Thank you all for your wonderful feedback! I just wanted to set a few things straight.

First, in-app purchases are tied to your Google or Samsung account, depending on which store you downloaded Papyrus from. Purchases are automatically restored or enabled by Google Play or Samsung Apps on all devices you are signed into with that account. This means, if you get a new device, have multiple devices, or need to reinstall Papyrus, you only need to purchase the premium features once (as long as you use the same account). This is true for all applications in these stores (not just Papyrus) as it is handled by Google and Samsung. Please note, however, that it can sometimes take a little while for purchases to show up on other devices or after just installing Papyrus (usually it’s instant though).

Second, we’re always trying to figure out the best business model for…

      Thanks for your feedback!

First, in-app purchases made through Google Play are available across devices (new devices, multiple devices, new ROM, etc) as long as you're using the same Google account. When re-installing the app, existing purchases will be retrieved from Google Play. Unfortunately, Samsung's policy on this is different from Google. On Samsung Apps, purchases are tied to a specific device. If you've made a purchase on Samsung Apps and would like to switch to Google Play, please contact us.

Second, we are always evolving our business model, trying to figure out the best way to make Papyrus profitable so we can continue to improve it and provide as much functionality as possible for free. Unfortunately, we currently don't think providing a single paid version for a small fee is a sustainable solution, especially for the type of advanced functionality we're working on. I'm not just talking about engineering costs, but "third party" costs of using technology developed by other companies.

We welcome your feedback, questions, and concerns in this area!

We planned to offer this feature from the beginning, but unfortunately never got around to implementing it. I loved the feature in MS OneNote, but I think there's got to be a better way to access the feature than clicking a button in a toolbar.

What do you think about a three finger touch and drag? After putting three fingers down in a horizontal line, drag down to insert space above your fingers. The same could be done to insert space horizontally with three fingers in a vertical line.

        Any other ideas?

This is something we’ve been investigating since the app’s inception and we continue to investigate constantly. Syncing is a very difficult problem to solve, especially in regards to handwritten notes which can be combined with images and text. I don’t have any kind of ETA for when syncing will be supported, but rest assured this is a high priority for us. We appreciate all your feedback on this idea.

We completely agree that sync is very important. We have had plans since the beginning to provide not only syncing between devices to keep all your notes up-to-date, but also real-time syncing for sharing and creating notes with other people.

Since this is more difficult and will take longer to solve we wanted to add backup and restore capabilities to Papyrus first. Please stay tuned and continue to comment and vote up this idea as we continue to develop it.
