We don’t disagree that there is a market for a cross-platform handwritten note taking app! We would love for Squid to be available on all platforms. We’re a small team and we don’t currently have the resources to expand to Windows (or iOS). We hope this will change someday!
I know that everyone has been waiting a long time for sync and I want to reassure you that it is high on our list of priorities. As users of Squid ourselves, it’s something we really want as well! We appreciate your patience.
This is something we’ve been investigating since the app’s inception and we continue to investigate constantly. Syncing is a very difficult problem to solve, especially with regards to handwritten notes which can be combined with images and text and contain backgrounds from multiple PDFs. I don’t have an ETA for when sync will be supported, but rest assured this is a high priority for us. We appreciate everyone’s feedback on this idea.Anonymous commented
Would be great to see this update soon. I have a Samsung Chromebook for school, a Galaxy Note 10.1 for easy access, and a Pixel 2. It would be nice to be able to rely solely on squid. At minimal I would enjoy the auto back-up to be less than 6 hours. Maybe more like 5 min to a half hour and then some easy tool on the main screen to restore the back-up to other devices. I've been a Premium Subscriber for over a year and, while I love the app, syncing is the only thing it lacks!
